This is a high-quality functional underwear with a high merino wool content. It feels wonderfully warm and soft on the skin in cooler temperatures. When it gets warmer, the material absorbs perspiration and has a slightly cooling effect.
Comfort/features:
Merino sheep's wool consists of particularly fine fibers. They are many times thinner than those of other sheep. It also has a very crimpy structure. This means that merino fibers can be used to produce fabrics that are extremely soft to the touch and incomparably comfortable against the skin. The crimp makes merino wool very airy, so that it has a strong insulating effect and keeps you warm even in freezing temperatures. The material also has other desirable properties. It is naturally breathable, dirt-repellent and quick-drying. Protein molecules in the merino fibers (keratin) break down odor-causing bacteria (sweat). In addition, wool can absorb a high proportion of its own weight in liquid without feeling wet and without losing its warming effect - in stark contrast to cotton, for example. These are all properties that speak in favor of wearing functional underwear made from merino wool.
The addition of polyester gives the underwear a pleasant elasticity to provide perfect comfort.
