THREAD GAUGE FOR METRIC+ WHITWORTH, 52 BLADES
This 52-blade thread gauge is a valuable tool. It puts an end to guesswork, endless searching in your box of nuts and bolts and endlessly trying them out until you find the right size.
This thread gauge can be used to measure the pitch of external and internal threads, and in an instant you've got exactly the right nut or bolt for the job.
The procedure is to place the relevant blade against the thread and check whether or not light passes through.
- One end is for British Whitworth threads with a flank angle of 55° (from 4 to 62 threads per inch).
- The other end is for metric threads with a flank angle of 60° (for thread pitches from 0.25 to 6.0 mm)
