Screws and bolts with a stripped or rounded head can easily become a real problem. This where the 5-piece bolt extractor set from Gedore comes in very useful.
The solution:
Drill a pilot hole in the centre of the bolt head and insert the appropriate size of extractor. You will then be able to extract the damaged bolt. Gedore Bolt Extractors made of 35 HRC chrome vanadium steel do this job reliably any number of times.
This set is suitable for M3 to M18 bolts. It comes in a handy plastic case.
