POWER KIT 1000 CC
R80 FROM 09/1980
Important notes
POWER KIT 1000 CC R80 FROM 09/1980
Siebenrock 1000 cc set up kit POWER KIT:
The ultimate 1000 cc conversion kit for all R80 models from 1981 onwards with TÜV approval and installation instructions. Increase in torque and power over the entire revs range, coupled with extreme spontaneity and solid quiet-running are unbeatable arguments for these easily understandable tuning measures. Contained in the kit are nicasil-coated cylinders and weight-optimised forged
pistons that each weigh 150 grams less than the original part. In addition, the piston shape has been so chosen that no modification to the cylinder head is necessary. The result of the conversion is now an increase in torque
from the original 57Nm to 72Nm. It is no different with the horsepower. With the R80G/S, R80ST and R80GS the output increases from 49.3 to 59.2 hp and even 63.1 hp can be reached with the R80 road machines. Apart from that, the conversion kit eliminates the typical BMW torque dropout between 4000
and 5000 revs and captivates with a formidably quiet run-ning thanks to the lighter pistons.
The set includes all of the parts to be seen in the photo necessary for the conversion - such as cylinders, piston pins, piston rings. Gaskets are not included please order at the same time a gasket set Art. No. 60190100 to complete the fitting of the Power Kit.
TIP:
To reduce the thermal loading on the machine, we recommend the fitting of an additional oil pan distance ring and/or an oil cooler for all Power Kit conversions (see "Compatible products").
Products for your BMW
Classic bikes from BMW hold a fascination that few other brands can match. Jochen Siebenrock also fell under the BMW spell. Ever since he established his firm, he has specialised in preserving the classic forms of the past while bringing them right up-to-date through innovative engineering. The development of technically enhanced remakes of sought-after accessories focuses on eliminating known weak points from the start. Thus Siebenrock components mean more performance, more sound and, most important of all, more riding enjoyment with classic bikes. All Siebenrock products are manufactured in the European Union, and more than 80 percent are even "Made in Germany".
Professional technical expertise is essential to fit this article. We therefore urge you to have it installed by a motorcycle workshop!
Technical accessories whose operational safety depends not only on their own strength and function, but also on proper installation on the vehicle, are often supplied with a TÜV (German Technical Inspection Association) certificate. The user is obliged to have such accessories immediately registered in the vehicle papers by a TÜV test centre. This also involves the TÜV inspector checking the vehicle's operational safety. A charge is made for such registration.
Today, TÜV reports are increasingly issued for specific types of vehicle. However, no manufacturer is able (e.g. for cost reasons) to have their products tested on all vehicles which might use them. If a vehicle model is not listed, it is the inspector who has to decide about registration on the basis of his technical expertise; the strength of the product and its roadworthiness are confirmed by the existing TÜV report.
Since 2002, TÜV only accepts component certificates which include verification of the manufacturer's quality management system according to the requirements of §19 Appendix XIX of the German Road Traffic Licensing Regulations (StVZO) in the form of a valid certification document. Older reports can now only be used in exceptional circumstances in the course of a full technical inspection (Bauratabnahme), but the inspector is by no means obliged to make the entry in the papers.
