Hoses are often rather ‘soft’ and flexible. Nevertheless, they usually need to be held firmly with a clamp when they are pulled over a sleeve or another connection piece. In the comprehensive Craft-Mayer hose clamp strap set in the practical plastic assortment box, you will find 20 pieces in different sizes (clamping range 16 - 102 mm). The band and casing of these clamps are made of stainless steel, while the screw is made of galvanised steel so that it does not ‘seize up’ when tightening or loosening. MAINTENANCE:
Stainless steel should be cleaned regularly like all other materials, especially after exposure to salty air (near the coast), and also at regular intervals.
Water can easily collect in corners, edges and screw connections, resulting in corrosion. So careful cleaning is important, and if necessary screws should be undone in order to clean the parts thoroughly.
Do not leave rusty steel parts against stainless steel to avoid the rust "contamination".
